3 Detox water recipes

Drinking detox water is great when you hate drinking water on it’s own or when you want to cleanse your body.

Detoxing your body has many health benefits like; boosting your energy, helps with weight loss, improves your skin and many others. It is so that by only drinking detox water your body isn’t being completely detoxified but it helps a great deal when paired with a healthy lifestyle. You can also make detox water if you want to drink more water but are not used to drinking much water or don’t like the taste. I love water and I will drink at least 1,5 liters water a day, it’s important to keep your body hydrated. When you do that your skin will clear up and you will feel more energized and eventually paired with a healthy diet and some physical exercise you will lose weight. Don’t get me wrong, I am not the person who will look at what I eat all the time but I do try to drink lot’s of water and eat enough fruit and vegetables in a day and sometimes when I am really feeling it I will exercise. I am trying to find a new sport, something I will like enough to get me there every week or even twice a week.


I made 3 different detox waters; apple-cinnamon, strawberry-basil and lemon-cucumber-mint.


To make the apple & cinnamon detox water you will need:

-1/4 of an apple (sliced and peeled)
-a dash of ground cinnamon
-1 cinnamon stick

Making detox water is really simple, all you need to do is add in a jar a handful of ice, a dash of cinnamon, 1 cinnamon stick and the sliced apple. Fill the jar up with water and let it sit for 30 minutes and your water will taste just like apple pie but healthier.

The combination will help flush your fat away and that sounds weird but it makes sure that the fat in your stomach and intestines gets flushed out of your body. The cinnamon also helps balance the sugar in your blood.


To make the strawberry & basil detox water you will need;

-3 to 4 frozen strawberries (you can also use fresh sliced strawberries)
-3 to 4 fresh basil leaf

In a jar add in a handful of ice, the basil cut into stripes and the strawberries. Fill the jar up with water and let it sit for 20-30 minutes.

This detox water is refreshing and like the apple & cinnamon detox water it flushes out the fat in your body. It is also a great spa water recipe and helps reduce stress. So next time your having a spa day at home, make this to keep you hydrated and help relax you.


To make the lemon, mint & cucumber detox water you will need:

-2 sliced of lemon
-4 slices of cucumber
-3 to 4 mint leafs

Just like you did with the other 2 detox waters: add in a jar; handful of ice, lemon slices, mint leafs and cucumber slices. Fill the jar up with water and let it sit for 20 minutes.

This one is great, it taste like summer and is so refreshing. If you leave this in the fridge overnight it almost taste like lemonade. This water is great for flushing the fat out of your body, a great spa water, helps with weight loss and clears up your skin.


There are a thousand different combinations you can use to make detox water, so go nuts.
